New words coming in May!!

Hi, due to crazy life events that you can read about on my -personal blog: http://www.jolenaadams.blogspot.com/ , and a horrible computer (new one will be here soon!!)my word study blog project has gotten put on hold. Life is returning to normal so Im going to catch up and begin with new words on May 1st. So if you find my word study in the mean time catch up with me and come back on May 1st for 2 new words to study!!

God is Love

1 John 4:7- 21 has much to say on the subject of love. Beloved let us love one another , for love is from God! God is Love!! As He is so are we in this world. He showed us how much He loved us by sending His Son to the cross to pay for our sins.

John 13:34-35 tells us to love others as He has loved us, and by doing that others will know that we are His disciples. I think about that verse often. I so want others to see Jesus in me, for others to desire a relationship with Jesus because of me! And when we love and give to others-they will know we are His. On Monday nights for the past 9 years I head to the Juvenile detention center where I teach a Bible study to the incarcerated youth. I love and have a heart for these kids and believe that God has such great plans for them if they will choose Him-choose His plans and His way!!. I have been so blessed to share my Jesus with these kids and see so many hearts be touched and changed by Gods love.

You cant talk about love without mentioning 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 love is patient love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly;it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

We use these words as a standard by which we can compare our own behavior and check our love walk. But we can also look at these verses and get a clear picture of how God-who is love- will respond to us. We serve a loving Heavenly Father who loves and cherishes us and who has called us to love others and show off His love to this world we live in. What are you going to do today to show off Gods love?
